How to Install rails software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

rails software package provides MVC ruby based framework geared for web application development, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install rails

rails is installed in your system.

Make ensure the rails package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep rails *

You will get with rails package name, version, architecture and description in a table
